Unioto’s Tony Taylor earns 300th career coaching win

SOSA Staff Report

CHILLICOTHE — With a 4-3 victory over Piketon at home Friday, Unioto coach Tony Taylor took home his 300th career win, according to WKKJ.

If you’re wondering, Taylor’s 200th win came on May 8, 2012 with a 2-1 victory over Oak Hill.

Taylor, in his 19th season at Unioto, is a member of the Southeast District High School Baseball Association’s Hall of Fame — he was inducted 2018 — and has won 10 sectional titles and three district crowns with the Tanks.

After a 23-6 finish last season, and one that included a district championship with a 3-0 win over Athens, Taylor’s Shermans have started this year 7-0 overall with a 3-0 mark in the Scioto Valley Conference.
